This idea has guided my career in travel since 1984. While studying Economics, Psychology and Sociology at the University of Hamburg, I worked as a tour guide in Hamburg and Lübeck. I saw how much a journey depends on understanding what to do, how places connect and which experiences reveal the character of a destination.
In 1989, I founded a destination management company in Germany. Over the following decades, it became a multi-award-winning premium service provider, trusted by more than 700 business clients in 55 countries. Our work included medical congresses, trade fairs and executive programs, as well as specialized arrangements connected with Formula 1, the FIFA World Cup and the Ice Hockey World Championships.
That work taught me that a good travel experience depends on more than choosing a destination. It takes careful planning, organization, execution and attention to detail. The same knowledge informs our travel itinerary planning tools, designed to help travelers organize routes, daily activities, flights, accommodation, bookings and budgets in one place.
The travel industry has changed considerably since then, but travelers still need clear guidance, useful destination knowledge and practical tools to put their plans together.
