There are nearly 5.000 bison in Yellowstone National Park. Accordingly to the information of park park officials bisons often use the roads in Yellowstone National Park to migrate to lower places for the winter. 

Yellowstone Park bison herd can be found high in the mountains in 2,400 m, and even higher in mountain valleys of the Henry Mountains up to 3,000 m”
