Lentokentän lähistöllä asuvat ovat valittaneet melusaasteesta useiden vuosien ajan, ja tällä toimenpiteellä pyritään vähentämään lentomelun määrää. Rajoitus tulee voimaan tulevana talvikautena Ensi kesänä lentojen määrää nostetaan 460 000:een. Nykyisin lentojen määrä on 500 000, eli vähennys on merkittävä.
