Por semanas, el presidente Vladimir Putin aseguró que la situación del coronavirus en su país estaba bajo control. Ahora las cosas parecen haber cambiado.
Rusia se convirtió este martes en el segundo país del mundo con más casos de coronavirus, solo superada por Estados Unidos.
Según cifras oficiales, más de 232.000 personas se han contagiado allí.

Solo en las últimas 24 horas, Rusia reportó 10.899 infecciones , décimo día consecutivo en que ese número está por encima de 10.000
No obstante, el número oficial de muertos apenas supera los 2.100.
Las autoridades aseguran que la baja mortalidad obedece al programa de pruebas masivas del gobierno, aunque la oposición disputa la cifra y estima que el número de muertos y contagios es mucho mayor.
El virus se acerca a Putin
Entre los nuevos contagios de alto perfil reportados este martes se encuentra el portavoz del presidente Vladimir Putin, D i mitr i Peskov , según informaron medios locales.
El vocero es el último funcionario del Kremlin en dar positivo, luego de que el primer ministro Mijail Mishustin se contagiara a inicios de mes.
“Sí, estoy enfermo. Estoy recibiendo tratamiento”, confirmó Peskov a la agencia Tass.
